Your baby is growing fast and now measures around 18cm. The rhythm of his day is getting established, and he’s developing a sleeping habit. It may also be possible to start feeling your baby move. If your baby is a boy, his genitals will become much more distinct and easier to see on a scan. A set of unique fingerprints are starting to form on his little fingers and toes.
Salt is found in a variety of foods to add taste and flavour. The downside is that a diet high in salt has been linked with high blood pressure, and now that you’re pregnant it’s particularly important to avoid eating too much.
Try to keep salt out of the cooking process and avoid adding it at the table.
As much of our salt is hidden in processed foods like white bread, tinned
vegetables, cured and processed meats and meat dishes, it’s important
to choose the less-processed varieties wherever possible.
