If your baby’s an average weight, he’ll probably be around 6lb by now. Because he now has less and less room to move around, his movements may feel more like squirming than kicking.
Your baby's face is filling out, and now has eyelashes. His neck is thickening and his eyelids can now open and close easily. He’s about 49cm long and if he was born now, he probably wouldn’t need special care. He’s ready!
You may feel the urge to do some DIY, spring clean or just plump-up a few pillows in time for the birth – but not all mums-to-be experience this ‘nesting’ urge.
One thing you will almost certainly feel is hot, because your body is now working extremely hard to carry all the extra weight around and sustain the life inside you. As a result, you have more blood circulating and are burning more calories.
