It's mine. Mine. MINE!
Because your toddler's vocabulary is still quite limited at around the 12-18 month stage, he can become pretty frustrated when he can't express his emotions or tell you what he wants… so get ready for temper tantrums and fiery outbursts!
The closer he gets to his second birthday, the more you'll start to notice how self-aware he becomes - saying "I" and "me" a lot.
He still won't be used to the concept of sharing with other children and will get very possessive, repeatedly saying "mine" while grabbing hold of his toys and other favourite things.
Rather than playing in a group, he's more likely to play by himself, even when he's around other children - but don't worry, this is perfectly normal.
