Why oh why?
Your toddler's range of words will literally explode this year as his vocabulary spirals upwards to reach 800 words by the time he's three!
His curious nature takes centre stage and he might well begin to ask you questions beginning with 'who', 'what', 'where' and 'why'.
Get used to answering some very interesting questions for quite a few years - this stage will intensify as your toddler turns four.
He'll also want to tell you what he can hear and see - and what other people are up to - so be ready for a running commentary on life, and respond with your own observations.
He loves to listen to stories and will repeatedly ask you to hear the same select few… over and over and over!
